This month we present Fedora's security distro on a Live DVD. Fresh from the Fedora Security Lab [1], this distro was created "to provide a safe test environment for working on security auditing, forensics, and penetration testing." In addition to the usual desktop tools and apps [2], you get the LXDE desktop, a customized security menu, and tools for:

  • Code analysis
  • Forensics
  • Intrusion detection
  • Network statistics
  • Password cracking
  • Reconnaissance
  • Wireless analysis
  • Web app testing
  • VoIP traffic generation
