Ubuntu Server 11.10 The CD enclosed in this issue brings you the 64-bit server edition of Ubuntu 11.10 [1]. The Ubuntu 11.10 "Oneiric Ocelot" release comes with several additions and improvements to the collection of tools for virtualization and cloud computing [2]. New tools, such as Juju, Orchestra, Cobbler, and Cloud Foundry, allow for easier integration of virtualization and cloud services into existing IT environments.

For security reasons, the default configuration of the server edition does not include a GUI desktop system; however, you can add a GUI desktop through the Software Center any time after installation.
