Open Source Tools for the Data Center
Data center infrastructure management (DCIM) is the “complex process of tracking and managing all of the components that exist inside a data center,” explains Christopher Tozzi.
In this article, Tozzi lists seven open source tools that can help optimize data center efficiency while reducing costs, including:
- NetBox – Focuses on the management of network architectures and resources.
- OpenDCIM – Offers a web-based interface for mapping data center components and tracking their status.
- Prometheus – Monitors workloads deployed in your data center.
- Tinkerbell – Helps automate the provisioning of bare-metal infrastructure.
