OCCTET Project Created to Simplify CRA Compliance
The Eclipse Foundation has launched the OCCTET project with the aim of helping organizations handle compliance with the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).
The Open Source Compliance: Comprehensive Techniques and Essential Tools (OCCTET) project – funded by the European Commission – brings together open source advocates and developers “to build free, open source tools that make regulatory compliance more accessible, transparent, and cost-effective,” the announcement says.
Namely, the OCCTET project intends to provide an open source toolkit along with other resources to help organizations automate compliance related to the use of open source software in digital products.
“Compliance with the CRA is a multi-year journey that organizations need to prioritize now,” said Mike Milinkovich, executive director of the Eclipse Foundation.
