Gartner Projects 14% Increase in Security Management Spending in 2024
The latest Gartner forecast shows “worldwide user spending on security and risk management tools and projects could reach as high as $214 billion in 2024, representing a 14.3% increase on 2023,” reports Alex Scroxton.
“The continuous adoption of cloud, continuous hybrid workforce, rapid emergence and use of generative AI, and the evolving regulatory environment are forcing security and risk management leaders to enhance their security and risk management spending,” according to Shailendra Upadhyay, Gartner senior research principal.
Additionally, cloud security spending will push much of this growth, with a projected 24.7% increase in 2024, Scoxton reports.
