Altair Announces Cloud Computing Challenge

Winner will receive free compute time in the cloud for HPC design and engineering projects

At the ISC conference in Frankfurt, Germany, Altair announced a new High-Performance Cloud Challenge. The Cloud Challenge will leverage Altair software, Amazon cloud services, and Intel technologies to provide space and computing time for HPC-based design and engineering projects.

Participants will choose among six possible configurations of Altair's HyperWorks Unlimited Virtual Appliance and will have access to a virtual appliance for seven or more days for an engineering or simulation project.

Proposals are accepted through September 30, 2015. See the Altair site for more on the competition and how to apply.
