Google Announces the Google Cloud HPC Toolkit

Toolkit users will launch cloud-based HPC clusters automatically using predefined blueprints.

Google has announced a new toolkit for building modular HPC infrastructures in the cloud. According to Google, the goal of the Google Cloud HPC Toolkit is to “...enable users to easily create repeatable, turnkey HPC clusters based on proven best practices.”

The toolkit lets you define a blueprint for an HPC cluster and then deploy it in the cloud with minimal configuration time. Predefined blueprints are available for users, and you can also create your own custom blueprints. The Google Cloud HPC Toolkit is designed to work with Intel’s Intel® Select Solutions for Simulations and Modeling to deploy hardware-software configurations automatically.
