ISC 2020 Goes Virtual

Coronavirus concerns cause cancellation of Europe’s largest HPC event in favor of a digital alternative.

The co-chairs of the well known ISC high-performance computing conference have announced that the in-person ISC event will not take place this year due to concerns about the coronavirus outbreak. According to the announcement at the ISC website, this year’s event, which was scheduled for June 22-24 will move to an online format that will be “free to everyone so the HPC community can benefit from it.”

Event organizers say they will still publish all accepted papers and post-conference workshop proceedings with Springer’s Lecture Notes in Computer Science. Details of the online meeting are still in the works. Watch the ISC site for updates.
