This month's disc brings you the grml 2011.12 Live CD, code-named "Knecht Rootrecht" [1]-[4].
Grml is a rescue and recovery system based on Debian GNU/Linux that is designed to run from a CD. One of its main strengths is extensive support for customization through a flexible boot process.
Grml is well known for its great selection of small-footprint software like Nano, Vim, Zile, and much more. Apart from these command-line tools, Grml includes an X server, as well as the minimalist window manager Fluxbox.
The version provided on Linux Magazine 's cover disc contains the grml96 release, including i386 and amd64 versions.
