LinkedIn Drops Migration to Microsoft Azure

The decision comes four years after the original announcement.

LinkedIn has abandoned plans to migrate its datacenter infrastructure to Microsoft Azure four years after announcing the move, reports Jordan Novet.

“The decision not to proceed with the project, code-named “Blueshift,” marks a major reversal for LinkedIn, which announced its plan to move to Azure in 2019, three years after Microsoft acquired the company for $27 billion,” according to the article.

The company is opting to keep physical datacenters instead, Novet says.
