ISC’13 Introduces New Industry Track

Historic Leipzig, Germany, to host ISC'13 conference scheduled for June 16-20.

ISC’13 has announced that the upcoming conference will offer a new “Industry” track to the expected 2,500 attendees. This new Industry Track will run as a series of single sessions parallel to the current conference track on Tuesday, June 18, and Wednesday, June 19.

According to the announcement, the Industry Track is aimed at helping attendees from industry “make informed decisions about acquiring and operating HPC systems.” The track will focus on engineering and manufacturing, and especially on helping the industry improve product design and time to market, the announcement said.

The following session topics are planned within the Industry Track: HPC provisioning concepts for the industrial sector, independent software vendors and their HPC products, cloud HPC for small to medium enterprises (SMEs), an overview of the SME market, and several case studies.

Also planned is an invited talk, “HPC-Accelerated Innovation for Industry,” which will discuss the common needs of engineering and scientific research in regard to high performance computing.

ISC’13 registration will open and the full conference program will be available online on March 14. ISC’13 is scheduled for June 16-20 and will be held this year for the first time in historic Leipzig, Germany.
