New CompTIA Certification Focuses on AI Security
CompTIA has released a new professional certification focused on AI security.
The CompTIA SecAI+ certification “validates practical, vendor-neutral skills that help cybersecurity professionals understand, secure, and govern AI-enabled environments,” the company says. Skills include:
- Applying AI concepts to strengthen your organization’s cybersecurity posture.
- Securing AI systems using advanced controls and protections to safeguard data, models, and infrastructure.
- Leveraging AI technologies to automate workflows, accelerate incident response, and scale security operations.
- Navigating global GRC frameworks to ensure ethical and compliant AI adoption across industries.
This certification is the first in CompTIA’s Expansion Series, meaning it’s designed to build on existing skills. “It complements real-world experience and existing cybersecurity certifications, including CompTIA Security+, CySA+, and PenTest+,” the company states.
The CompTIA SecAI+ certification is intended for those with three to four years of experience in IT and cybersecurity, with typical candidates including security engineers, analysts, and operations professionals.
