Red Hat and Intel Partner on New 5G and Edge Testing Labs

The jointly supported centers aim to help organizations develop data-driven solutions.

Red Hat and Intel are partnering to open new testing labs in order to develop solutions and industrial use cases within 5G, edge, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, reports Tommy Clift.

The customer feedback-driven sites, Clift says, include new 5G and edge-based centers in Houston, Texas and Stockholm, Sweden, as well as an upgraded site in Singapore.

Each lab is tailored for specific customer feedback-based needs, according to Kelly Switt, Red Hat senior director and global head of intelligent edge business development. For example, the lab in Singapore “functions to support telco service providers in the region through cloud-native network functions (CNFs), 5G, and edge solutions.”
