The company also announced a new Sovereign Premium Support service.

SUSE has announced the general availability of SUSE Virtualization 1.5 Prime, with upgrades including an improved release lifecycle, more flexible patching and updates, and support for production-grade storage.

“The release expands support for Arm-based chip support, CSI-compatible external storage, while adding consistent 4-month releases and partner-certified data and storage options,” says Ivan Tarin on the website.

SUSE Virtualization 1.5 Prime also supports the SUSE Data Protection for Virtualization Certification, which “validates third-party backup, restore, and disaster recovery solutions against stringent technical criteria,” so that customers can deploy backup solutions with confidence.

SUSE additionally announced Sovereign Premium Support – a comprehensive service offering sovereign support in the European Union. This service “ensures that Premium Support Engineers and Service Delivery Managers are based in the EU, and customer support data is stored on EU-located networks and servers,” says Dirk-Peter van Leeuwen, CEO of SUSE.
