ClearCenter Announces ClearOS Professional 6

ClearCenter has released ClearOS Professional 6, the latest version of the company's operating system designed to support small business, education, and non-profit organizations.

According to the company, ClearOS Professional 6 is an affordable and powerful network, gateway, and server OS providing critical security and management tools – including intrusion detection and prevention, firewall, anti-malware, and content filtration – through the seamless integration of cloud-based and on-premise resources. IT administrators can remotely configure and manage a ClearOS installation using a PC, smartphone, or tablet from any location via a web-based console.

This release also marks the introduction of the ClearCenter Marketplace, which offers more than 100 apps designed to provide network, gateway, and server functionality – either on-site or in the cloud.

ClearOS Professional 6 will be offered at three levels: Basic (starting at US$ 280 per year) is an entry-level, commercially supported platform with email and remote login support. Standard (US$ 480) is a commercially supported platform with chat, email, and remote login support. And, ClearOS Professional 6 Premium (starting at US$  880 per year) includes high-availability configuration support, including phone, chat, email, and remote login support.

ClearOS Professional 6 is designed to run on standard server hardware or ClearCenter's own line of ClearBOX hybrid appliances. Visit http://www.clearcenter.com for more information.
