CVE Foundation Issues Call for Support
The CVE Foundation recently issued a call for support to help secure funding for the Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) Program.
The CVE Foundation, which was formed in April amid ongoing sustainability concerns due to funding cuts, “is stepping up to ensure the CVE program is independent, sustainable, and laser-focused on its core mission: providing trusted, high-quality vulnerability identification and enrichment,” the announcement states.
Toward this end, the Foundation is currently:
- Establishing multi-sourced funding to support long-term stability.
- Deepening engagement with CNAs, Roots, and global partners.
- Working to establish partnerships with CISA and MITRE.
- Finalizing 501(c)(3) status and preparing operations for scale.
The CVE has also launched a new website, containing further information and outlining specific plans. Contact the CVE Foundation to learn more.
