OpenSSF Offers Free Course to Help Navigate EU Cyber Resilience Act
The Open Source Security Foundation (OpenSSF), in conjunction with LF Education, is offering a free online course to help software developers understand and prepare for the requirements of the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).
The course – Understanding the EU Cyber Resilience Act (LFEL1001) – was designed to “address the serious knowledge gap across the software industry when it comes to CRA readiness,” says Dr. David A. Wheeler, Director of Open Source Supply Chain Security at OpenSSF.
As the OpenSFF explains, the CRA “introduces cybersecurity obligations for a broad range of software producers – including some open source projects. CRA not only applies to developers in the EU, but to almost every product with software that’s distributed in the EU.”
The free course – aimed at software decision-makers, developers, and managers – provides information to help participants navigate CRA compliance, mitigate risks, and meet regulatory standards.
