The product features the Prisma Access Browser with additional security capabilities.

Palo Alto Networks has announced Prisma SASE 4.0, an AI-driven, secure access service edge (SASE) solution.

According to the announcement blog post, Prisma SASE 4.0 helps organizations in the following areas:

  • AI-powered threat protection – Detects and stops modern, AI-driven attacks to help protect users, applications, and networks.
  • Data security without friction – Protects sensitive information across AI agents, copilots, apps, and diverse data flows.
  • Unified, intelligent operations – Simplifies how enterprises secure and scale their environments through autonomous operation and AI-assisted management.

Prisma SASE 4.0 also includes the Prisma Access Browser, which is “designed to intercept and neutralize encrypted, evasive attacks that assemble inside the browser and bypass traditional secure web gateways.”

According to the company, the Prisma Access Browser offers security features such as Advanced Web Protection, which “inspects fully rendered webpages in real time, catching threats that only trigger after page load or user interaction, without requiring transport-layer decryption,” and the Advanced DNS Resolver (ADNSR), which provides globally distributed, low-latency resolution with AI-powered protection.
