Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 Released with New AI Features
Red Hat has announced Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 with new AI-powered features aimed at operations management and more.
For example, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 10 introduces Red Hat Enterprise Linux Lightspeed, which uses generative AI to “provide context-aware guidance and actionable recommendations through a natural language interface.” According to the company, the command-line assistant can access information from various resources – including thousands of pages of Red Hat product documentation – to help you build, manage, and troubleshoot your systems.
Other additions to RHEL 10 include:
- Pre-tuned, fully supported, and ready-to-run Red Hat Enterprise Linux images across AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure.
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux extensions repository, which offers Red Hat-curated software, such as developer tools, open source libraries, and niche utilities.
- Developer preview of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 on RISC-V platform in collaboration with SiFive.
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux Security Select Add-On, which lets you request fixes for up to 10 specific CVEs annually.
