Trend Micro Releases Cloud Security Assessment Tools
According to the company, these tools allow organizations to assess their security posture in regard to cloud adoption, mobile devices, and targeted attacks. These free security assessment tools are designed to help plan and deploy security measures and defend against targeted cyberattacks.
In response to 25 yes or no questions, the product produces an assessment of a company’s current security posture. It also provides a comparison against industry averages and offers suggestions for improving security practices. The results are given in the following areas: protection, responsiveness, organization, expertise, and visibility.
According to the announcement, Trend Micro recently conducted these same assessments for selected organizations in the United States, Germany, United Kingdom, France, Brazil, Japan, India, Canada, and Australia. The assessments showed that, for overall readiness against targeted attacks, the United States and Canada appeared to be the most ready – scoring 3.3 and 4.6 out of 5, respectively. In the nine countries overall, approximately 84.7 percent of organizations reported having a documented process for handling an attack. Approximately 93 percent of US organizations reported having such a process.
