Scala Programming Language Ported to .Net


A new port brings the Scala programming language to the .Net platform.

Miguel Garcia, part of the Scala group at the École Polytechnique Fédérale in Lausanne / Swiss (EPFL), has reached a milestone in making the Scala programming language available on the .Net platform. The project funded by Microsoft is now shipping a working compiler. Garcia made use of the IKVM infrastructure that has brought the Java Platform to .Net.
