GitLab announced the public beta of GitLab Duo Agent Platform, which it describes as “a DevSecOps orchestration platform designed to unlock asynchronous collaboration between developers and AI agents.”

Capabilities available to Premium and Ultimate customers include:

  • Software development flow
  • GitLab Duo Agentic chat in IDE
  • Iterative feedback and chat history
  • Model Context Protocol (MCP) client support

Additionally, support for custom rule creation lets you “tailor agent behavior to individual and team preferences using natural language for development style guides and organizational policies.”

There’s currently a waitlist for Duo Agent Platform participation, with the company planning general availability this winter. Learn more at GitLab.
