Palo Alto Networks Launches Prisma AIRS 2.0
Palo Alto Networks has announced Prisma AIRS 2.0, a major platform upgrade that provides “end-to-end protection across the entire AI application lifecycle.”
Prisma AIRS 2.0 offers “a clear view of your entire AI ecosystem, helps you assess emerging risks, and defends your organization against threats unique to AI,” says Ian Swanson in the announcement blog post.
The platform, which is “continuously validated by autonomous AI red teaming,” secures interactions between AI models, agents, data, and users through the following features:
- AI model security: Analyzes the model itself to detect threats like architectural backdoors, data poisoning, and malicious code hidden within the model layers.
 - Comprehensive discovery: Finds all AI agents in use across your environments, including shadow or inactive agents that still hold access.
 - Permission and configuration management: Detects misconfigurations, shared credentials, and over-permissive identities that violate least-privilege policies.
 - Continuous hardening: Checks for configuration drift and risky trust chains between agents and third-party tools.
