Grafana 12 Released Along with Other Updates
Grafana Labs has announced version 12 of its dashboarding and visualization tool, which introduces a new suite of observability as code tools along with other changes.
According to the company, key features of Grafana 12 include:
- App platform: The app platform offers tools for building custom applications on top of Grafana.
- New dashboard schema: The new JSON structure decouples general settings from content, enhancing readability when rendered as code.
- Dynamic dashboards: This feature allows for more flexible dashboard creation with improved customization.
- Git sync: Automatically sync Grafana dashboards to a GitHub repository and review changes using pull requests.
Grafana Labs also announced the general availability of Grafana k6 1.0, an open source performance testing tool. This move follows the release in March of k6 Studio, an open source desktop application for generating k6 test scripts.
