The self-hostable client is still in early development.

MZLA Technologies has introduced Thunderbolt, a self-hostable, open source AI client that offers organizations “full ownership of their data and freedom from vendor dependencies.”

According to the company, “Thunderbolt extends control to the infrastructure layer – connecting the client experience with enterprise-grade agents.”

The cross-platform AI client allows organizations to:

  • Run AI with their choice of models
  • Connect to systems and data through integration with pipelines and open protocols
  • Generate daily briefings, monitor topics, compile reports, or trigger actions based on events and schedules
  • Work seamlessly across devices with native applications for Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android
  • Maintain security with self-hosted deployment, optional end-to-end encryption, and device-level access controls

Thunderbolt is still in early development, the team notes, so be sure to check out the GitHub page for deployment details.
